The
Renaissance Period was from about A.D. 1300 and 1600.
This was the time period between the Middle Ages and the
Modern World. Renaissance is a Latin word "to
be born" or "rebirth". Renaissance also comes
from Old French,
renaistre, "to be born
again."
The
Renaissance was a time when people had more time to think
-especially in areas of religion, science and philosophy.
It was also time of creative expression in the fields of
music, sculpture, painting and architecture. During this time
people changed the way they saw themselves and their world.

Task
|

On
the next page are categories of topics and occupations

that were common
during the time of the Renaissance. You will choose an
individual or a topic from one of these categories to research
on the internet. As an apprentice, your job will be to
learn all that you can about your person or topic in the
Renaissance Era. You will prepare a slide presentation
depicting the knowledge you have gained about your person or
topic. You will present your information with others
that have the same category.
