Announcements
Reminder to every
one that tomorrow
2/2 is not on
a special lunch
schedule. We
will have a hot dog
lunch on Thursday
for
student appreciation
day.
I hope
everyone had a
chance to see the
article in the
Catholic Review
1/28. The
title is:
Excitement makes SUS
a model parish
school !
You can read it on
line at the Catholic
Review.
Our
schedule for
Catholic Schools
Week (January
31-February 5, 2010)
was sent home
(1/13), so that
parents who work, may
be able to get time
off to visit
classes.
Teachers have sent
out individual
schedules of
rotating classes
for Feb.2-3-4
visits.
We invite new or
perspective parents
to visit our school
this week. We
have reserved Monday
Feb.1 for new
parents only so that
there will be plenty
of room. If
you can't make it
Monday , you are
welcome to come the
other days but it
will be a little
more crowded!
The Baltimore County
Health Dept. is
offering FluMist
vaccine (for the
seasonal flu) at our
school on Feb. 11.
If you would like to
have your child
receive the vaccine,
please contact the
Health room for the
consent form.
All information must
be received by Feb.
8, 2010.
Information on our
tuition, a letter
from the school
board, and the
re-registration
information for
next year
was sent home
Thursday 1/21.
Please look in
folders.
Lots of people have
sent in their
service hours cards.
Thanks!
All families that
chose Plan A or C
must finish service
hours.
Ten hours
must be finished by
January 31.
Please send in your
cards if you have
not done so as yet.
Bills will be sent
out.
For those who work
the BB tournament,
remember no more
than 10 hours can be
done at the
tournament.
Keep the Box Tops
coming!
We are ? in all
Maryland schools.
We have had more new
people sign up on
the
Box Tops web site.
It gives
us more credit.
If you haven't done
so why not?
Our first check for
$2500 arrived.
The
drawing for Lucky
1500 is happening
each week.
If you have not
turned in your
tickets please do so
before the next
drawing.

If you shop at
Giant, we ask you to
re-register.
Our Giant number is
01634. You will need
to go to
www.giantfoods/a+bonusbucks.com
to re-register.
The new program
started on October 9,
2009.
Presently, we
have 68 families
registered for the SUS account and we
believe more than
that number shop
there at least for
the sales.
This is another way
of helping tuition
costs stay lower.
We have made $484 with the 68
families.
f you are shopping
for school supplies
at Office Depot,
don't forget to use
our school ID
#70047107. We
receive 5% back from
the store.
In the case of high
absenteeism, the
following steps have
been recommended by
both the Archdiocese
and State
Superintendent of
Schools.
Reports will be made
to the archdiocese
and the Baltimore
County Health
Department and all
guidelines will be
followed. I
quote Nancy Grasmick State
Superintendent of
Schools in a recent
letter, " Therefore,
I reiterate here,
all non-public
schools certified by
MSDE must comply
with public health
and safety rules.
Only the Department
of Health and Mental
Hygiene in
consultation with
the school official
and with the
Maryland Department
of Education may
make the decision to
close a school due
to H1N1." St.
Ursula School will
comply with all
the directions and
guidelines given to
us.
If
you wish you can
designate United Way
Funds for St. Ursula
Extended Day.
Our number is 3596.
