banner - a flag with a special design or words on it
summoned - ordered to appear
scroll - a roll of paper with writing on it
reluctantly - not willingly
prospered - was successful; thrived

vaguely - slightly; not clearly
approve - to have a favorable opinion
presence - the fact of being in a certain place in a certain time
bruised - having a bluish or blackish mark on the skin caused by a fall, blow, or bump
convenience - ease and comfort
offend - cause to be unhappy or angry

"Wilma Unlimited"
athletic - strong and active
concentrating - keeping one's thoughts on something
luxury - something that gives pleasure or comfort but is not necessary
astounding - amazing
bushel - a measure for dry things equal to 32 quarts
scholarship - money given to a student to help pay for education

spire - structure that becomes narrow at the top
shoreline - the outline of the land along the edge of an ocean, lake, or river
timbers - long, heavy pieces of wood for building
hull - the sides and bottom of a ship
treacherous - dangerous
ominous - telling of trouble to come; threatening
